Mariah and Lachlan got engaged during a 4-week road trip up the east coast to Byron Bay.
This particular humid day they were staying at a campsite in Crescent Head and decided to drive two hours inland to a national park and do a beautiful one-hour hike up to a secluded waterfall.
It was the perfect spot, so Lachlan sneakily set up the Go-Pro on the rocks and convinced Mariah to swim over to him, who was completely oblivious to what was happening.
Then he quickly dropped to one knee, pulled a ring box from his board shorts and proposed.
“I got the ring designed and made four months before we left and had it on me every time we went on a hike or trip just in case. I wanted it to be authentic and real.”
