When Michael decided to propose to Lisa with his great-great-grandmother’s ring, he chose an area where they feel most at home – the majestic Ada Tree in Warburton.
He planned a motorbike ride to the special location a week in advance but his plans were nearly foiled when Lisa had an allergic reaction earlier in the day after helping her aunt move furniture.
Despite Michael’s frustration, they pushed on and after a bumpy ride and a 30-minute walk to the Ada Tree, Michael popped the question… well he tried to at least.
“He pulled out the ring and said I have a question to ask. I just burst into tears and he didn’t even get to ask the question.”
