I love wedding speeches. You may think you know a couple, but then when their nearest and dearest start to tell their story, everything changes. You might learn for example about a bride who has dreamed of her wedding day since she was a little girl growing up in Poland, wondering where in the world there was a little boy who would one day become her husband. Or you might learn about a chance encounter in a London vodka bar that sparked a monumental change in two people’s lives, and the lives of two families, from that day onwards. Or you might hear an eloquent and heartfelt tribute from a groom to his bride. Just like we did.
On Sunday, Chris and Aleks went back to the scene of Chris’s proposal at beautiful St Ignatius Church, and this time they became husband and wife. After the ceremony, we all headed to Riversdale Golf Club for some photos around the grounds, where Gaynor and the team had kindly organised some sunshine for our shoot!
