A few weeks ago, Drew mentioned that he’s not a very “smiley” guy. As a wedding photographer this is great information to get before the day, and so we often chat about these things with our couples beforehand so I can help them with some tips for their wedding photography. There’s nothing wrong with not being smiley – some people just express their feelings differently. Except, as you’ll see below, he LIED TO ME!!! :)
Maybe it was the beautiful weather, or seeing his gorgeous bride walk down the aisle to join him for a private, intimate wedding ceremony beside the lake at Stillwater, or the thought that yesterday was the start of a lifetime with Fi. Maybe he’d had too much to drink in the morning. Or maybe he just lied. Either way, I don’t think I saw him without a smile on his face all day.
I’ve photographed Fi and Drew a few times now at the weddings and parties of their friends, so it was an absolute pleasure to capture their own wedding for them. Here are a few of my favourite pictures from yesterday, and there are a lot more on the way.
