Jess and Tim had been chatting online for about six weeks, but when their first date ended up going for 10 hours, both of them knew they had met someone special. At the end of the epic date, they even shared a tram home together to their respective houses, just a few stops apart.

“I just remember he was quirky, interesting and looked so much better in person. He was obviously a family man and quite community orientated.”

By the time it came to pop the question, Tim had known he wanted to propose for a long time. An upcoming six-week European holiday was the perfect opportunity so Tim bought a ring two weeks before they left. In a scene straight from a movie, the pair were alone at the top of Sacre Coeur, enjoying the spectacular views over Pars when Tim dropped to one knee.

Unfortunately just weeks away from their much-anticipated big day, the Covid-19 pandemic put a halt to their wedding plans . Sadly some close family and friends couldn’t make the new wedding date nearly nine months later, Jess and Tim didn’t let anything stop them having the best day ever.

Jess wore her mother’s wedding veil as she married her “best team mate in this game called life” at Yarra Valley Lodge’s stunning open-air chapel surrounded by bushland. Sneaking cheeky kisses throughout the ceremony, love was definitely in the “room” as both Jess and Tim shared some beautiful vows:

“I will always strive to be the man you think I can be …. from the day we met, I have been the luckiest man in the world.”

After a quick golf buggy ride around the property for some photos, we all headed inside to celebrate in the book-themed reception. After nine months of lockdowns and restrictions, there was such a fun atmosphere…. guests were even officially allowed to show off their moves on the dance floor, without face masks. With most guests staying overnight at the property, everyone was in a party mood!

Jess and Tim, it’s been such a genuine pleasure getting to know you both since your engagement session nearly three years ago! Your love for life and each other is so infectious, we’re just so glad that you were able to get married in this crazy year that has been 2020!
