Some brides know that they are about to be proposed to, whether it’s a planned romantic holiday or because their groom-to-be is acting really nervous. Then there’s those brides who have absolutely no idea and are genuinely shocked. It’s not until later that they join the dots and realise the reason for the weird plans or strange requests. Jessica is definitely one of the latter.
Jessica and John had been living together for a year when John bought a ring. He didn’t want to keep the secret any longer than possible so that same day he bought some champagne, filled their bedroom with red candles and prepared Jess’ favourite song, but he wasn’t quite ready. Jess had had a horror day at the office and a long drive home in bad traffic, made a bit longer by John’s phone calls aimed at stalling her to buy some time. Oblivious to what was waiting for her at home, she was starting to get more and more annoyed at John’s strange questions and errands like this pearler: “can you pick up a takeaway menu from a restaurant and we’ll order home delivery when you get home?” Lucky for John, she wasn’t too annoyed at him that she still said yes when he popped the question!
We had a wonderful sunset engagement session with these guys last month at Port Melbourne beach with lots of laughs and love on display. It was the perfect warm up to their wedding at Leonda by the Yarra wedding later this year, we can’t wait!
