So, we learnt a few things this morning:

1) Mayans maybe aren’t as clever as we give them credit for, or zombies/asteroids/etc don’t stick to schedules

2) If you want clear blue skies and a light breeze on December 22 in Melbourne, have a breakfast wedding

On paper, I imagine having hair and makeup done at 6am probably doesn’t sound like much fun. Spirits were high though both at the apartment where we dropped in on Matthew and at the always-beautiful Langham Hotel when we checked in on Kelly in her stunning Luci DiBella gown an hour later. By the time everybody arrived at Circa for the ceremony, the early start was long-forgotten. As Matthew said, it could easily have been a dawn ceremony!

The flowers were beautiful, Kelly’s hair and gown matched perfectly, and the food looked so good I nearly mugged a guest for their eggs, but the most important thing is this: in front of a select group of friends and family, on a St Kilda rooftop, Kelly and Matthew became husband and wife today. It’s a day they’ll look back on for the rest of their lives, and I hope they lead a long, happy one together.

Here are a few of my favourite shots from this morning. If you’d like us to let you know when the rest are ready, just send us an email, ‘like’ our facebook page, or pester Kelly and Matthew!
