The best thing about having your wedding on a public holiday is that you’ll never forget your anniversary and you’ll always have the day off work to celebrate! Lily and Daniel’s recent Australia Day wedding was even more appropriate, considering it was their second celebration, the first being a wedding in Lily’s native China (we’re not sure if it was on China Day though!)
After the ceremony at St Augustine’s Church in Mentone, we all headed down to Mordialloc for a quick costume change into dress number two, before some photos on the beach. Lily, Daniel and their bridal party were great sports as there were quite a few people around enjoying the sunshine, but we managed to find some lovely romantic places away from the crowds.
Dress number three was saved for the reception, held at Doyles in Mordialloc, who always do a fantastic job, ably led by function coordinator Traci. Iain worked the room, even trying out his limited Chinese, (shao-ky!) with mixed results :)
Special mention has to go to Daniel’s mega talented family. His sister Nicole’s business The French Lettuce created the spectacular, gravity defying wedding cake. And his mum Elaine spent many painstaking hours the day before the wedding creating floral bouquets for the girls.
Lily and Daniel, best wishes for a wonderful life together.
