Renee and Matt are the first to admit they both have jobs which make it difficult to meet people: Matt is a plumber, working on building sites surrounded by blokes all day, while Renee manages an Aged Care facility with elderly clients and mostly female staff. So they had both turned to internet dating and met on RSVP, with obviously great success if their wedding day was anything to go by! (Although it did take Matt a whole two weeks to respond to Renee’s initial “kiss”!)
From their very first date at Mocha Joes café in Glen Waverley it was just “easy” and less than two years later they declared their love to each other at St Peter’s and St Paul’s church in South Melbourne – the fifth member of Matt’s family to do so, over three generations. And so the Pat Rafter infatuated girl and the racing mad guy, became husband and wife.
After some photos at nearby St Vincent’s Gardens in Albert Park, we all headed across town to Riversdale Golf Club. These guys are hilarious and also madly in love, so it made our job extremely easy. They kept asking us during the photo shoot, “tell us what you need us to do” when they were already doing it!
Renee and Matt, we wish you the best of luck for a wonderful married life together. It was a privilege to get to know your family and friends and capture some beautiful memories from your special day – thanks for including us.
