I love an organised bride and hands down, Stacey takes the wedding cake for being the best we’ve ever had. She even created a 12 page wedding planning document – that’s nearly one page for every year Stacey and Luke have been together, I love it!
Stacey and Luke first met straight out of high school through a mutual friend. It might have taken them 11 years to walk down the aisle, but they did it in style, with a beautiful ceremony at 45 Downstairs gallery officiated by celebrant Jill Hosken. Their ceremony included personal vows that each other heard for the first time including these lines from Stacey: “I promise to create a wonderful marriage with you. I promise to encourage you to chase your dreams … and laugh until your stomach hurts … Thank you for being my other half, thank you for choosing to be my husband today.”
Keeping with the city theme, we headed to the Victoria Barracks for some photos among the spectacular vine-covered walls. It’s clear these guys’ relationship is based on genuine friendship as well as true romance; I have to say it makes our day very easy when our couple are so natural in front of the camera.
After a few extra shots in front of the NGV waterwall, we headed inside to the stunning Persimmon restaurant. Who knew such a gorgeous venue set among tranquil gardens existed in the heart of the CBD?
Best of luck for a wonderful marriage and life together Stacey and Luke. The planning was all worthwhile – everything was perfect, even the things that could never be planned.
