As a lot of you probably know, I’m originally a country boy. I grew up in a town called Dookie, near Shepparton, and it’s quite rare that I actually photograph anybody from there except my family, so shooting a wedding on saturday with ~200 guests and a large portion of them from Shepp (including a couple of familiar faces) was really nice. It was also a pleasure as always to be working with the fabulous celebrant Wendy McRae and the team at Roselyn Court again.
David made Stefanie wait for a ring purchase, and then she had to wait even longer for a proposal, but I’m sure it was all worth it as their wedding on Saturday was beautiful. Starting with a Tea Ceremony and exchange of gifts in the chapel before meeting Wendy and their other guests in the elegantly decorated marquee for their marriage vows, the wedding showed great respect for the cultures of both families while bringing them together to celebrate and start their married life.
The other thing that regular readers of this blog will probably know is that I love photographing kids, and with 33 of them at the reception, hyped up on sugar, music and the prospect of staying up waaaaaay past their bedtime, the photos are going to be hilarious. (I snuck in one of the kids at the end of this post, but there will be more to come I promise!)
If you’d like us to let you know when the rest of the pictures are ready, or just want to keep up with our other shoots, please ‘like’ our facebook page or subscribe to this blog. Ok, enough writing, here are the highlights of Saturday. Enjoy!
