We’ve said it before, but it truly is such a privilege to be wedding photographers – we never take for granted. Just to be invited into people’s homes, share their customs and traditions and capture it all for eternity, brings us new experiences and surprises and a cheeky tear to my eye every time.

When we started this photography journey more than 12 years ago, we never would have imagined we would be photographing a Nigerian wedding function in a packed Berwick family home. And then celebrating all over again just two days later in Melbourne’s most magnificent church. So much happened during the two awesome celebrations that we decided that they deserved a blog post each.

The first day was full of traditional Nigerian colours and customs with a splash of Mauritius thrown in as the two families came together. Most of Evelyn’s guests wore traditional Yoruba wedding attire and Darren’s guests wore just as brightly coloured saris, so it truly was a riot of colour, with barely space to move. From the plates of cash, dancing and beautiful outfits, these guys really know how to throw a wedding!

And then two days later, they did it all again at a wonderful celebration at Leonda by the Yarra. Check out all the action here.
